What are you doing New Year’s Eve? Our sleepy lakeside community beckons with all of the glittering lights and romance of the holidays, making it an ideal place to stay for New Year’s Eve. Here’s why you should put Lake Chelan on your radar for the upcoming holiday.

Small Town Charm

Did you know that the population of Chelan increases by nearly 5x during the summer months? It’s great for business, but if you’re looking for a more laid back experience then winter is the perfect time to visit. Avoid lines, crowds, and rushes here where locals live on “Chelan time”.

Fireworks Galore

You don’t need to go to the big city to be dazzled by a holiday firework display. The Lake Chelan Valley prides itself on its infamous New Year’s Eve fireworks show. The Grandview has a front row seat to the show, with the fireworks being lit from Don Morse Park in Chelan at 9pm on December 31st!

Whether you’re looking for a festive cocktail hour or a five-course paired wine dinner, you have plenty of options! Pop into Layla’s, Campbell’s, or Sunset Manson for specialty cocktails suited to the season. Additionally, several wineries are featuring special bubbly and food pairings, including Amos Rome’s Oyster & Bubbles and Cairdeas’ Bubbles and Blinis events.

Party The Night Away

If you’re seeking a little more excitement, be sure to check out one of the many parties planned across the valley. Siren Song Winery will hold its annual Black and White Ball from 7pm-midnight, featuring a 4-course surf and turf wine dinner and live music. Or pop into Sigillo Cellars for their first ever “Glitter and Glam” wine pairing dinner followed by a NYE dance party. Additional parties will be held at Tsillan Cellars, Stormy Mountain Brewing, and many more! Find a full list of NYE events here. Many require reservations in advance.
